A fig-and-honey tartine the way it should be
— A piece of toast, a spoon of ricotta, two halved figs, a drizzle of dark forest honey, a crack of black pepper. The pepper is not optional.
— filed — N°06 — apr 2026 — Toast a thick slice of country bread until it is more brown than gold. Rub one side lightly with a peeled garlic clove — just a whisper.
Spread cold ricotta. Halve two anjeer figs and arrange them cut-side up. A slow ribbon of honey. A quarter twist of black pepper. Eat standing at the kitchen counter, before anyone else notices.
